The English Literary Club ‘Voice Out’ was recently launched by the Department of English at Ideal Indian School, Doha, on May 24th, 2023. The program began with a prayer, followed by Zaid Khalid from the Boys’ Section reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Ms. Stenicka Fernando, the Head Girl, warmly welcomed the gathering. Afterward, an investiture ceremony took place, during which Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the Principal of Ideal Indian School, presented badges to the office bearers of Voice Out for the term 2023-2024.
Miss Fatima Rahees from Class XI-F was elected as the President, and Miss Afreen Salma from Class X-F assumed the role of Secretary for the Girls’ Section. In his speech, the Principal encouraged students to participate in literary competitions and showcase their creative talents. The event also featured entertaining cultural performances, including a motivational speech by Amna Hafiz from Class XII-H and a dance presentation on ‘The Importance of Reading’ by students from Class XI in the Girls’ Section.
The English Literary Club will now be led by Ms. Sabha Ali, who has taken over as the new coordinator.
Finally, a prize distribution ceremony was held, where students received certificates for their participation in various literary activities during the academic year 2022-2023. Master Ahmed Mohammed Faisal, the Head Boy from the Boys’ Section, concluded the program by delivering a vote of thanks.
