TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION PROGRAM

IIS ORGANISES TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION: Ideal Indian School conducted a comprehensive Teachers’ Orientation Program from August 21st to August 24th, 2023. The Session commenced with an inauguration by Dr. Hassan Kunhi M P, President of the school, who underscored his commitment to the professional development of the teaching staff. Dr. Hassan Kunhi M P engaged in insightful discussions with the teachers, addressing and resolving their queries.

There was a session during which the staff members who had just returned from the summer break shared their experiences during the vacation.

The Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, addressed the faculty on the topic: “Discovering One’s Potential as a Teacher.” In the session, the Principal discussed the attributes of a good teacher, the intersection of technology and education. The second session was presented by Mr. Ashok Kumar Tiwari, Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section, on the topic: “Understanding and Developing High Self-esteem for Confidence Building in Learners.” The focus was on the role of teachers in building high self-confidence in students.

On the second day, Mr. Azam Khan, Vice Principal of the Junior Section, highlighted the elements of teamwork in education, strategies to overcome challenges, and the role of leadership in fostering teamwork through the topic: “Together Everyone Achieves More.” In the later session, Dr. Nazima Bi, Vice Principal of the Girls’ Section, presented the topic: “Cooperation – Effective Methods to Elicit Cooperation from Children in the Classroom.” All the sessions were interactive, and the participation of teachers contributed to a lively and effective response. The program was coordinated by Ms. Khatija T C, Headmistress of the Girls’ Section. Mr. Sajid Shamim, AHM of the Boys’ Section, was the moderator for the first day, and Ms. Shyla Jose, AHM of the Junior Section, moderated the sessions held on the second day. The program served as a refresher for classroom implementation as the school reopened after the Summer Break.
