IIS WON DoM QATAR ‘KICK OFF’ INTER SCHOOL SEVEN’S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Ideal Indian School football team emerged as champions in the ‘DoM  Qatar Kick Off  Inter School Seven’s Football Tournament’ organized byDoM Qatar In Association With Indian Sports Center under the aegis of the Embassy of India-Qatar, held on 14th October 2022 at DPS-Monarch International School-Wukair. 10 Schools have participated in this tournament.

Earlier in the first round Ideal Indian School won against Rajagiri Public School by 3-0. Abdul Latif scored   hat-trick for Ideal Indian School in the pre-quarter final. Ideal Indian School received walkover against Royal International School in quarter final. In semifinals Ideal Indian School won against MES Indian School in penalty shootout by 2-1. Abdul Latif and Youssef Gamal scored one goal each in penalty shootout.

Ideal Indian School won the final match against Birla Public School by 3 goals to nil. Abdul Latif, Abdelrhman Hafiz and Shahad Shafeeq of Ideal Indian School scored one goal each for their team and took the victory.

Afdul Latif of Ideal Indian School has been awarded the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’. Abdulla Adil (Captain) has been awarded ‘Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament’. The other team members who represented Ideal Indian School are Abdelrhman Hafiz, Mohamed Wehib, Naeem Sidhique, Mohamed Fadil, Mohamad Fadi Zubair, Mujtaba Wadia Bashir, Shahad Shafeeque, Muhammed Rizal, Youssef Gamal and Shahzad Hassan.

Principal of Ideal Indian School Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb along with the team received the winner’s trophy from the organizers.Vice Principal of Junior Section Mr. Azam Khan, Vice Principal of Boys Section Mr. Ashok Kumar Tiwari, Asst. Headmaster of Boys Section Mr. Sajid Shamim andPhysical Education Teachers were present on the occasion.

The Ideal Indian School team was accompanied by team Coach Mr. Vijayant Thapa, team manager      Mr. Mohammed Nowfal and team Physio Dr. Durairajan.
