Read -A-Thon(G sec)

 Ideal Indian School, in collaboration with Crescent Book Shop, organized an exciting book fair from 14/05/2023 to 18/05/2023, with the theme ‘Open a Book, Open Your Mind’. The aim was to encourage reading habits among students and provide teachers with educational resources like novels, textbooks, storybooks, and more. Parents also got to explore new book titles.

The book fair displayed a wide range of books in different genres, delighting children, staff, and visitors. They had the joy of selecting books they wanted to read, with so many options available in one place.

During the Read-A-Thon week, students participated in various fun competitions that celebrated their speaking skills. There were competitions like “End the Tale” for Class 5, “Poem Recitation” for Class 6, “Once Upon a Picture” for Class 7, “Spell Bee” for Class 8, “Just a Minute” for Class 9, “Book Review” for Class 10, “Word Fire” for Class 11, and “Literary Quiz” for Class 12. The competitions were guided by Ms. Lipsy Sabu, Head of the English Department. Here are the winners:

In addition to the competitions, the Girls’ section organized cultural activities like Mime (Class 8), Flash Mob (Class 11), and Procession (Class 5 and Guide girls) during break time. These activities made reading more exciting for everyone.

The book fair and Read-A-Thon week successfully encouraged a love for reading and provided a platform for students to showcase their talents. It was a wonderful celebration of books and creativity.
