Ideal Indian School’s SOCIAL DEPARTMENT celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to mark the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with the theme “Life of Gandhi”. Students from the girl’s section and boys’ section threw light on Gandhi Ji’s mission and vision of a free and independent India by depicting his march and movements during the freedom struggle.
Ideal Indian School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti to mark the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with the theme “Life of Gandhi”. The program was graced by the Principal of Ideal Indian School, Mr. Shamim Sheikh. The Heads of sections, Heads of Departments, and teachers.
Anchored by Ms. Deann Menezes of 9 F, the program began with a prayer by Ms. Shakira Khatoon of 8 Ms. Naila of 8 J. Mr. Adidev Sajith of 8 D welcomed the gathering. This was followed by Gandhiji’s favorite Bajans sung by the students of girls’ section, Ms. Sara Parkar of 7L from the girls’ section delivering a speech in Hindi, and Mr. Niranjan from the boys’ section in English.
Tableaus depicting the Boycott Movement and the Dandi March added flavor. The Principal urged the students to follow the path of Gandhiji and practice the truth.
The students of the girls’ section also presented a Powerpoint presentation on the Life of Mahatma Gandhi. Ms. Rajashree of 8H delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The program was coordinated by Ms. Susila Devi. V and Ms. Resmi Jayaprakash. Mr. Masood Ali Khan H.O.D of Social Science thanked the teachers and the students.
