IIS students attend PravasiBharatiya Divas 2023 event at ICC
Students from Grade IX of Boys section, Ideal Indian School got a chance to attend live telecast of the inaugural ceremony, held as a part of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, on January 9, 2023 at Ashoka Hall, Indian Cultural Centre.
The event, which was held at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, was graced by the presence of dignitaries such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of the Republic of Suriname, Chandrikapersad Santokhi and Guyana President, Mohamed Irfaan Ali. The dignitaries invited the Indian diaspora to participate in nation building.
The event was a great opportunity for students from different schools to interact with one another. The students also got a chance to interact with the Ambassador of India to Qatar Dr. Deepak Mittal. He spoke to the students on the importance and responsibilities of being a Pravasi and also dwelt on its background and history.
