IIS OBSERVES CONSTITUTION DAY

IIS OBSERVES CONSTITUTION DAY: Ideal Indian School observed Constitution Day on 26th November. On this day in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted, and it came into force on January 26, 1950, marking the beginning of a new era in the history of India. ‘Constitution Day’ is a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, who played a seminal role in the framing of the Indian Constitution as the Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent Assembly.

On the occasion of Constitution Day, the various Sections of IIS organized several programmes to create awareness about some of the salient features of the Constitution of India. In a special morning assembly, the Preamble to the Constitution was read out by all the students. In the Junior Section Students dressed as Dr. Rajendra Prasad and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar gave insightful speeches on the Constitution. Department of Social Science organised a number of programmes including Collage, Flash Card Making, Quiz Poster making etc. An instructional period was devoted to speaking to the students about the Constitution and briefing them about the contributions made by the founding fathers. A documentary on Samvidhan Diwas –The Making of Indian Constitution was shown to educate them to a better understanding of the Constitutional principles and foster a sense of pride and responsibility among students. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Heads of Sections, and Heads of Departments attended the function.
