
IIS WINS CHESS TOURNEY: Ideal Indian School’s Under-14 Chess Team secured the First Position in the CBSE Qatar Cluster Chess Tournament organized by Noble International School recently. Abel Sajan (8D), Albin Sajan (7E), Annliya Sajan (4F), and Mohammed Ziyan (8D) represented Ideal Indian School in the Under-14 Mixed Category.
In the girls’ category, Ideal Indian School’s Under-11 team secured second position. Hida Jaswan (5G), Sriveni Anil (5G), Daneen Shah (5F), and Sana Fathima (6G) represented Ideal Indian School in the Under-11 Category.
The Girls’ Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 teams also secured the Third Position in the tournament. The team members who participated in the above categories are Laina Ann Mathew (7L), Thamim Shah (7L), Palakshi Sharma (8G), Anushka Anil (8K), Raajashri Shivdasan (9J), Virgin Evangaline (11E), Shahad Ibrahim (10G), Aaliyah Mansoor (9G), Lehen Shah (11E), Ida Jemi John (12F), Magaasri Shivdasan (12E), and Vaishnavi Thiruppathi (12F).
From Ideal Indian School, Mr. Vijayant Thapa and Mrs. Suman Panwar were in charge of the Mixed and Girls Chess teams respectively. Dr. Durairajan was assigned as the Team Manager. Ideal Indian School Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb congratulated the Chess teams for their achievement.
