WORLD PEACE DAY– REPORT 2024-25  

 

The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School marked WORLD PEACE DAY on 2nd October 2024 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and instil his values and principles among students. The event was graced by the Headmaster, Mr. Sajid Shamim and the Section Coordinator, Ms. Jeseena Abdulla, as the chief guests.

The day began with a special morning assembly. Two insightful speeches were delivered by Aysha Mohammed from Grade 4 and Nimra Mohamed from Grade 4G, emphasizing Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. The celebration began with a spectacular school procession, showcasing the three stages of Gandhiji’s life. Umam Hubaid from Grade 3B and Amaan Danny from Grade 4B displayed stages of Gandhiji’s life.   

Following the assembly, class-wise activities were conducted to gain insight into Gandhi’s life and teachings:

Class 1:  Students participated in a colouring activity.  Students coloured pictures of National Flag and Dove.

Class 2: Students participated in colouring activity that is to join the dots and make the image of Gandhi. Their work reflected creativity and reinforced values of Non-Violence.

Class 3: Students crafted miniature Spinning wheels (Charkhas) using popsicles and cardboard. This activity highlighted Gandhi’s emphasis on self-sufficiency.

Class 4: Students designed posters on Gandhi’s life, teachings and quotes. These posters conveyed strong messages about the importance of peace.

World Peace Day celebrations at Ideal Indian School successfully promoted Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and inspired students to emulate his principles. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of patriotism and social responsibility among students.
