Master Sahal Faisal Abu Baker of Class XI C has brought immense pride to the school and the nation by securing third place in the Asian Beach Handball Championship 2024, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from October 16 to 25, 2024. This remarkable achievement has earned his team a well-deserved spot in the World Beach Handball Championship 2025, set to take place in Tunisia.
In 2024, Sahal’s dedication and talent were recognized when he was selected for the U19 National Team. His journey included a 15-day training camp in Serbia 🇷🇸, where he had the exceptional opportunity to play friendly matches with the Serbian National Team. These matches not only honed his skills but also prepared him for the Asian Championship 2024 held in Jordan 🇯🇴 from September 3 to 14.
During the Asian Championship in Jordan, Sahal and his team displayed commendable effort by winning their opening match against the UAE 🇦🇪 and advancing from the group stage. Unfortunately, their journey ended in the quarterfinals. However, Sahal’s resilience and determination remained unwavering.Shortly after, Sahal was selected for the U16 Beach Handball Championship in Bangkok, Thailand 🇹🇭. Despite being the youngest player, his exceptional performance played a key role in the team’s success, achieving third place in the tournament and securing a spot in the World Championship 2025 in Tunisia.
