International Day of Non-Violence)

2 October 2024
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Social Science Department of Ideal Indian School
organized a range of activities to commemorate the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and
instill his values among students. Various educational events were held to honor Gandhiji’s
legacy.
Competitions were organized for students of Classes 5 to 8, with active participation. The
competitions included Craft Work, Drawing, Calligraphy Writing, and Chart Making, all focused
on Gandhiji’s values. These activities provided students an opportunity to express their
admiration for Gandhiji’s life and his role in India’s independence movement, while also
learning about the significance of his ideals in today’s world.
Students were encouraged to ask questions and discuss Gandhiji’s philosophy and its relevance
today, making the program interactive and educational. This helped them gain a deeper
understanding of Gandhi Jayanti and the lasting importance of his principles.
