CELEBRATION OF GANDHI JAYANTHI (02/10/2024)

International Day of Non-Violence

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, the Social Science Department of Ideal Indian School organized a range of activities to commemorate the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and instill his values among students. Various educational events were held to honor Gandhiji’s legacy.

The day began with a morning assembly, where Safin Tarik Parkar of Class 11A, the Assistant Head Boy, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of Gandhiji’s principles of truth, non-violence, and simplicity. Suhail Sadik of Class 11A presented the news, and Aman Farhan of Class 11-A shared the thought of the day, reflecting on Gandhiji’s teachings.

Competitions were organized for students of Classes 5 to 8, with active participation. The competitions included Craft Work, Drawing, Calligraphy Writing, and Chart Making, all focused on Gandhiji’s values. These activities provided students an opportunity to express their admiration for Gandhiji’s life and his role in India’s independence movement, while also learning about the significance of his ideals in today’s world.

Students were encouraged to ask questions and discuss Gandhiji’s philosophy and its relevance today, making the program interactive and educational. This helped them gain a deeper understanding of Gandhi Jayanthi and the lasting importance of his principles.
