On December 8th, 2024, the Ideal Indian School Girls’ section carried out different activities on ‘No Bag Day’ for students of class 5. No Bag Day is a beautiful opportunity to make learning fun and meaningful for the students. It can also help them discover their interests and talents.
As a part of ‘No Bag Day,’ students wrap and label their books during the English period to understand the importance of labelling and organizing notebooks for easy identification. By exploring creative ways to make their notebook covers visually appealing, students understand the value of presenting well-maintained study material.
Students visited the school vegetable garden during science period. It helped the students to know the importance of cultivating their own food and learn more about plants. All the students actively participated, which was incredibly enjoyable.
In the mathematics period, students did addition of decimal numbers to get a sum of 1 from the given number cards. This activity helped them to add decimal numbers, which helps them to use this skill in their day-to-day life.
In the social science period, students prepared still model types of communication. All students colourfully made their models using different materials. This activity helped students to understand different types of communication systems.
Qatar history teacher-led activities, in which students made a chart of important facilities and services in Qatar. All of the students participated in the activity with great energy during the entire period, which was incredibly enjoyable. It helped the students to understand more about the facilities and services available to people in Qatar.
The teachers of second languages conducted different activities. In the Hindi class, the teacher conducted an activity to solve the puzzle. It helped the students to develop the
skills—verbal, reasoning, vocabulary, and spellings. In Urdu class, by doing the activity, students understand the importance of reading books. Students prepared songs during the Malayalam period. It helps to improve their skills to write and perform songs. In the Arabic class, Arab students prepared flashcards, and that enhanced their creativity and teamwork. Non-Arab students conducted a colouring activity, and all the students actively participated and all enjoyed the activity. Students of Tamil conducted the activity; it helps the students to learn about the martial arts of Tamils.
In the computer period, students were asked to find different icons; it helps the students to know more about different icons.
In the art period, students drew underwater scenes, and it helps to build their imagination and enhance creativity.
On December 8, 2024, Ideal Indian School Qatar, class 5 of the girls’ section, carried out calisthenics exercises as a part of No Bag Day at the main ground. The program began at 7:10 am under the supervision of P E teachers Ms. Ajanya M and Ms. Suman Panwar
In the first period, all the students gathered at the main ground. Shreya Rakesh, Noora, Aaliya, Hawwa Fathima, and Evana Maria were selected as representatives from each division of class 5, and they demonstrated 5 types of freehand hand exercises to other students. The aim was to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and discipline among students through calisthenics exercises. Students showed enthusiasm and energy throughout the activity. The vice principal Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh and headmistress Ms. Khatija T C and other escorting teachers actively participated and encouraged students to push their limits. The activity helped to improve teamwork and communication among students. Students demonstrated improved physical fitness and coordination.
The calisthenics exercise program was a huge success, encouraging kids’ focus, cooperation, and endurance. We hope to carry out more events of this nature in the future.
