Unity Day Jr.Section

The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School, Doha, Qatar, celebrated Unity Day on November 3, 2024, in honor of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, also known as the “Iron Man of India.” Although the official date for Unity Day (Rastriya Ekta Diwas) is October 31, this event allowed students and teachers to come together a few days later to reflect on Patel’s vision of unity and dedication to national integration.

The day was filled with engaging activities that emphasized the importance of unity, respect, and mutual understanding in a diverse society. These activities were designed to help students appreciate the values that Patel championed and to foster a strong sense of togetherness.

The celebration included a special assembly held in the 2nd Floor Lobby, where students and teachers gathered to commemorate the importance of staying united and working together.

The program commenced with a peaceful prayer by Hamda Musthafa from Class 4G, setting a respectful tone for the event. Following the prayer, Ashwigha T from Class 4I gave a short, heartfelt speech on the importance of unity in our lives, reminding everyone of the power of kindness and support for one another. Next, Angella Shainna Soans and Diya Nair from Class 4F delivered a thoughtful message about friendship and teamwork, encouraging everyone to help and respect each other. Following that, Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim addressed the gathering and spoke to the students about the importance of the day. He emphasized Sardar Patel’s role in unifying India and encouraged students to uphold the values of unity and respect in their own lives.

The assembly concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Aryalakshmi, who expressed gratitude to all participants, especially to the Headmaster for supporting the event, and appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in making the celebration meaningful.
