GENERAL REPORT

In line with the “Swachhata Hi Seva” initiative, which emphasizes the importance of
health, cleanliness, and community service, Ideal Indian School conducted a Cleanliness
and Plantation Drive on 20 th and 21 st October 2024. This event was part of the ongoing
efforts to create a healthier and more sustainable environment by encouraging students
and staff to take proactive steps toward both sanitation and afforestation.
The dual objectives of the cleanliness and plantation drive were to promote hygiene and
cleanliness in and around the school premises to prevent health hazards and to increase
awareness of the importance of plantation in creating a healthy, pollution-free
environment.
The first part of the event focused on a comprehensive cleanliness drive in and around
the school campus. Armed with gloves, brooms, and garbage bags, Scouts and Guides
teams to clean various areas. Following the cleanliness drive, students and Scouts &
Guides participated in planting saplings. Students were actively involved in digging,
planting, and watering the saplings.
A brief health and hygiene awareness session was conducted by Guides of Girls Section
to educate students on the importance of personal hygiene, clean surroundings, and the
role of trees in preventing diseases and promoting better health. The Scouts from Boys
Section led an awareness rally, raising slogans about cleanliness, hygiene, and
environmental care.
The Cleanliness and Plantation Drive organized on the occasion of “Swachhata Hi Seva”
was a major success. It served as a practical demonstration of maintaining cleanliness
and planting trees are essential steps toward creating a healthier environment. By
involving Principal, Head of Sections, Teachers, Students and Scouts & Guides, the event
promoted values of teamwork, civic responsibility, and environmental stewardship. The
drive will have a lasting impact not only on the local environment but also on the health
and well-being of the community.
