Samvidhan Diwas

26th November 2024

Ideal Indian School observed Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, on 26th November 2024, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly. The celebrations began in the Girls’ Section with a special morning assembly organized for Class VIII students. Ms. Kalinga Sasrika Sodindi of Class XI-I delivered an engaging and informative speech highlighting the importance of Constitution Day. During the assembly, the Preamble of the Constitution was collectively read aloud, reaffirming the principles embedded in the document and reflecting the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. A fitting tribute was paid to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, recognizing his pivotal role in drafting the historic document.

To further enhance the students’ understanding of constitutional values, Class VIII-I students presented a thought-provoking skit on Human Rights. The performance creatively emphasized the significance of human rights and their relevance in society. The Vice Principal, Dr. Nazima Bi Sheikh, and the Headmistress, Ms. Khatija T.C graced the occasion with their presence. Both addressed the gathering, underscoring the relevance of the Constitution in students’ lives and encouraging them to embrace the values it promotes. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Maryam Shadiya of Class IX.

In addition to the assembly, the Social Science Department organized a series of engaging and creative activities for students from Classes V to VIII. These activities included a craft session on the topic Preamble, collage-making, Class Constitution drafting, and calligraphy writing. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and a keen understanding of constitutional values. The event successfully instilled a sense of patriotism and responsibility among the students. It reinforced the importance of adhering to the principles of the Constitution and honoring the vision of its framers. The program concluded with a collective commitment to uphold the spirit of the Indian Constitution.
