QATAR NATIONAL ENVIRONMENT DAY: OUR EARTH OUR LEGACY”
Qatar National Environment Day is observed annually on February 26.
The theme for the 2025 celebration was “Our Earth, Our Legacy,”
which resonated throughout the events organised to mark the
occasion.
* A special assembly was led by the headmaster, section
coordinator, teachers, and students. The students from classes I to IV
participated in the assembly and mesmerized the audience with their
thoughtful message and song. A student of class IV, SHEIKH ASHRAF,
amazed everyone with her inspiring speech, and the tiny tots of grade
2 made
an awareness programme related to the environment and climate
change. The assembly was hosted by Ms. Remya Ranjith. Headmaster
Mr. Sajid Shamim provided an insightful message on the importance
of the day and emphasized the need for water management, waste
management, and land use. The Junior Section students actively took
part in various ‘Best out of Waste’ activities related to Qatar National
Environment Day to promote environmental awareness, such as
decorating the given outline using pencil wastes, making a cardboard
family frame, creating a bookmark using ice cream sticks, and making
a flower vase using used bottles. Qatar National Environment Day
2025
was a memorable event that successfully created awareness related
to the environment. On this occasion, parents and students donated
around 40 plants to the school garden. This event not only
entertained and educated but also fostered a sense of pride and
belonging among the participants. By highlighting the importance of
Qatar National Environment Day, the event inspired future
generations to carry forward our cultural and environmental legacy.
