OZONE DAY– REPORT 2024-25

The Junior Section of Ideal Indian School marked Ozone Day on 16th
September 2024 with an inspiring celebration aimed at raising awareness
about the importance of protecting the ozone layer. The event was graced by
the Headmaster, Mr.Sajid Shamim and the Section Coordinator, Ms.Jaseena
Abdulla, as the chief guests.
The day began with a special morning assembly where students gathered to
learn about the crucial role of the ozone layer in protecting life on Earth. Two
insightful speeches were delivered by Miqdadh from Grade 4B and Nimra
Mohamed from Grade 4G, emphasizing the need to preserve the ozone layer
and the impact of ozone depletion on the environment.
Following the assembly, class-wise activities were conducted to engage the
students creatively while reinforcing the theme of environmental awareness:
Class 1: Students participated in a colouring activity, using their imagination to
colour illustrations related to the theme of ozone protection.
Class 2: Students created paper collages depicting the effects of ozone
depletion and showcasing ways to protect the atmosphere. Their work
reflected creativity and understanding of the issue.
Class 3: Students made colourful headbands with messages and symbols
advocating for the protection of the ozone layer. The activity encouraged them
to express their thoughts artistically.
Class 4: Students designed impactful placards featuring slogans and visuals to
raise awareness about ozone layer protection. These placards conveyed strong
messages about the importance of safeguarding the environment.
The Ozone Day celebration successfully educated students about the
significance of the ozone layer and encouraged them to take steps toward its
preservation. The activities allowed students to express their creativity while
learning about an important environmental issue.
