Ideal Indian school observed National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) with great fervor to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Independent India, who was instrumental in keeping India united. The main objective of this was to promote unity. To mark this occasion, various activities were organized. Morning assemblies were held in all sections. The programme started with the impressive speeches made by the students on the life, history and the role Sardar Patel in the freedom struggle to establish a harmonious society. The staff and students took the National Unity Pledge. Banners and posters spreading message of unity were displayed. An essay writing competition was held on the topic, ‘Iron man of India -Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Poster making competition was also held on the topic ‘National Integration’. Students from classes 5 to 9 were encouraged to take part in these competitions to understand the significant role played by this great leader to integrate India. Principal Mr. Shaikh Shamim Saheb and all the Heads of Sections applauded the staff and students for their active participation.
