Boys’ Section observed Earth Day under the theme ‘Invest in our Planet’ on Monday, 17 th
April 2023. This observation is a reminder to protect the environment, restore damaged
ecosystems, and to live a more sustainable life.
The newly selected school council members has come up with the innovative programmes
on this day. The prefects along with the scouts had visited the classes by holding placards
of the theme of day.
They expressed their views gracefully by addressing based on the theme and it was a
thought provoking demonstration. A captivating short video conveyed a strong message to
one and all about the little things we can do in order to take care of our Earth like- reduce
the use of plastic bags, reusing old items and recycling waste stuff. The placards highlighted
the importance of conserving resources for our future generations.
An Inter-House Bulletin Board Contest was conducted based on theme of ‘Plastic Pollution
and the need for Recycling and Waste Reduction’ in the section as part of Earth day and
showcasing their awareness about conserving natural resources. A total of five students
from each house participated in the competition. The students of all the four houses were
presented at their best on the theme.
Result: First-Blue, Second- Green, Third- Red and Fourth –Yellow.
