World Heart Day[G Sec]

The Eco Club of Ideal Indian School, Doha-Qatar, organized a special program
to mark World Heart Day on Wednesday, 24th September 2025, at the KG
Auditorium. The theme of the event was “Safety and Children,” with a focus on
creating awareness among students about the importance of heart health and
preventive measures. The program was attended by Class IX students, teachers,
and dignitaries of the school.

The event commenced with a solemn prayer led by Mohammed Obaid of Class
11 A (Boys’ Section), invoking blessings for the success of the program. This
was followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Fenin Shavaera of Class
11 A (Boys’ Section), who greeted the gathering and set the tone for the day’s
proceedings.
After the welcome address, the Vice Principal of the Boys’ section, Mr. Azam
Khan, and the Vice Principal of the Girls’ section, Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh,
presented a memento and bouquet to the Guest of Honour Dr. Mohit Kaul
(Emergency Medicine, Aster Hospital), as a gesture of appreciation. Dr. Kaul,
delivered an interactive and insightful talk on child safety and first aid. He
discussed practical steps to handle emergencies such as fractures, applying
splints, managing animal bites, controlling nosebleeds, and treating burns. His
session was highly informative and interactive, equipping students with
essential knowledge to act responsibly during emergencies.
Dr. Kaul’s message inspired students to take responsibility for their health and
spread awareness in their families and communities. The talk emphasized the
importance of being prepared to face emergency situations responsibly.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the Eco
Club Girls’ section president, Sanam of Class 11 F. The event was coordinated
under the guidance of the Department of Science along with the support of the
HOD (Science), Mr. Riyas.

The celebration not only honoured World Heart Day but also empowered
students with life-saving skills, leaving them more aware, responsible, and
prepared to face emergency situations.
