On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Department of Social Science of Ideal Indian School organized a range of activities to commemorate the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and instill his values among students. Various educational events were held to honor Gandhiji’s legacy.
A tableau was performed during the 6th and 7th period by the students of grade 5th and 6th on the second floor. The tableau highlighted Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and their relevance in today’s world, emphasizing the values of honesty, peace, and selfless service.
The event was witnessed by Vice Principal Mr. Azam Khan and Assistant Headmistress Ms. Lipsy Sabu, who appreciated the students’ efforts in presenting the values so effectively. Classroom activities were also organized for students of Classes 5 to 8. The activities included:
Class 5 – Collage Making
Class 6 – Drawing (Swatch Bharat)
Class 7 – Calligraphy Writing
Class 8 – PPT
These activities focused on Gandhiji’s values and provided students an opportunity to express their admiration for Gandhiji’s life and his role in India’s independence movement.
Students were encouraged to ask questions and discuss Gandhiji’s philosophy and its relevance today, making the programme interactive and educational. This helped them gain a deeper understanding of Gandhi Jayanti.
