Ideal Indian School’s table tennis teams showcased an outstanding performance at the recently concluded CBSE Qatar Cluster Table Tennis Tournament, hosted by Birla Public School. Competing against some of the finest talents from various CBSE schools across Qatar, both the boys’ and girls’ teams brought laurels to the school by securing commendable achievements across different categories.
In the aggressively contested U-19 girls’ category, the team clinched the Gold Medal, while the U-17 girls’ team secured the Bronze Medal. The U-19 boys’ team also brought home the Bronze Medal in their division, adding to the school’s impressive medal tally.
The U-19 girls’ team, comprising Ruqaya (10 J), Amna Sharin (12 H), Saida Nada (11 J), and Manahil Baber (12 I), demonstrated exceptional technical prowess and outstanding sportsmanship throughout the competition. Their synchronized teamwork and unwavering determination were crucial in securing the top spot. This victory also earned them a coveted place in the National Championships, which will be held at LP Savani Academy in Vesu Choryasi, Surat, Gujarat, India.
The U-17 girls’ team, led by Aiza Nijas (10 K), Menhal Sajid (10 J), Shriya Patil (10 J), and Sara Mohammed (11 F), displayed remarkable resilience and strategic play, earning a well-deserved Bronze Medal. Their effort, despite being up against tough competition, showcased their mental toughness and commitment to excellence.
In the U-19 boys’ division, the team, comprising Aadi Arora (12 A), Akshay Madhu Nair (12 A), and Fauzan Ahmed (12 A), demonstrated consistent technical skill and competitive spirit. Their impressive performances helped them secure a well-earned Bronze Medal.
Under the expert guidance of Mr. Satender, the Boys’ Coach, along with Mr. Raheem, the Manager of the Boys’ Team, and Ms. Suman Panwar, the Girls’ Coach, supported by Mr. Thapa and Ms. Ajayana, the Girls’ Team Managers, the players not only refined their technical abilities but also cultivated a resilient mindset and a strategic approach. This allowed them to excel under pressure. The unwavering dedication of the coaches and the individual brilliance of the athletes garnered well-deserved recognition from both peers and officials.
Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the Heads of Sections, extended heartfelt congratulations to the victorious teams for their exceptional performance. He appreciated their discipline, commitment, and teamwork, noting that these qualities reflect the school’s aim to promote all-round development in both academics and sports.
