DIMENSIONS OF TRADE: IIS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE HOSTS EXHIBITION: The Department of Commerce recently organised the Commerce Day Exhibition 2025, a vibrant and educational event celebrating the creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of the students, under the theme “Transforming Vision into Reality” The program began with an inspiring message from Sara Borlon (Class 12), who anchored the event and reminded everyone that “Commerce is not just about money. It’s about ideas, creativity, and the drive to build something that lasts.”

The exhibition opened with a solemn prayer by Saifullah (Class 12), followed by a warm welcome address from Maryam Zior (Class 11), who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries, faculty, and students. The event was graced by our esteemed Principal,

Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, whose motivational address emphasized the importance of adaptability and vision in today’s ever-evolving commercial landscape. He officially inaugurated the exhibition with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the start of a day filled with student-driven innovation and entrepreneurial enthusiasm. Distinguished guests in attendance included Mr. Azam Khan (Vice Principal, Boys’ Section),

Dr. Nazima Bi Shaikh (Vice Principal, Girls’ Section), Ms. Khatija T. C (Headmistress, Girls’ Section), Ms. Lipsy Sabu (Assistant Headmistress, Boys’ Section), Mr. Sajid Shamim (Headmaster, Junior Section), Ms. Shirley D. Sales (Headmistress, KG Section), and Mr. Anwar Sadath (AHM, Academic Affairs). Their presence added prestige and encouragement to the event. The exhibition was meticulously planned and executed under the leadership of Ms. Dhanya V. K, Head of the Department of Commerce, and the dedicated commerce faculty, with valuable support from Mr. Anwar M. K, Media Coordinator.

Highlights of the Day:- Live art and handmade crafts, Fashion and perfume stalls, Cafés, bakeries, and refreshing beverages, Stock market simulations and real estate models, Cultural exhibits showcasing Qatar’s rich heritage, Marketing tips, trading games and e-commerce demonstrations.

Parents enthusiastically participated in both the morning and evening sessions, exploring the variety of stalls alongside their children. Their active involvement brought warmth and encouragement, turning the exhibition into a collaborative celebration of learning and creativity. As a token of appreciation, each parent received a handcrafted souvenir — a heartfelt gesture from our budding entrepreneurs. Many parents also interacted with students at the stalls, sharing practical insights on marketing, customer engagement, and presentation — truly transforming the exhibition into a real-world learning experience.
