As part of the Qatar National Identity celebrations, Ideal Indian School organized a special activity on 30th April Wednesday,2025 during the Qatar History period, aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation of Qatar’s rich cultural heritage among students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 5 and 6. Each grade had a unique activity designed to reflect their understanding and creativity related to Qatar’s national identity. Teachers guided the sessions and facilitated discussions to reinforce the importance of respecting the culture and traditions of the host country.
Class 5 students took part in a “Pick and Speak” competition, where they picked a topic related to Qatar and spoke on it. The activity aimed to boost their confidence and encourage public speaking skills, while also deepening their knowledge about the country. Topics included “The founder of Qatar – Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani”, Traditional Qatari Houses vs Modern Buildings” and more. The participants showcased great enthusiasm and knowledge, and three winners were selected based on content, clarity, and
presentation skills.
Class 6 students demonstrated their creativity through a Model or Chart- Making activity on Qatar’s Heritage. They designed visually appealing and informative models and charts representing various aspects such as historical forts, traditional architecture, pearl diving, and Qatari customs. The models
reflected deep research and creativity. Three students were declared winners for their outstanding work.
The event was a great success, contributing meaningfully to the students’ understanding of Qatar’s national identity and heritage. The winners from both classes were appreciated and awarded for their efforts.
