Environment Day[Jr Sec]

Environment Day is celebrated worldwide on 5th June. The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. The 2024 edition of World Environment Day will focus on land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience under the slogan “Our Land. Our Future. We are Generation Restoration”, as the year marks the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

 Environment day 2024 was celebrated at Ideal Indian School, Junior Section on June 5th, 2024, Wednesday. The school conducted child-centered activities on account Environment of  day, which was interesting and informative. Class 3 students conducted an assembly. Neha Sreejith of Class 3 F and Farha Fathima of 4 H  delivered speech on Environment Day. Class 3 and 4 performed a group song . Fancy dress was organized by the students on the occasion of Environment Day. The programme was compered by Ms. Geetha T.R.

Class activities were conducted for Class 1, 2, and 3 students, where Class 1 students were given a coloring activity, Class 2 students made a wrist band, and Class 3 engaged in greeting card making activity.

Along with this, Class 4 students made wall hanging activity. All the students participated in the program with much enthusiasm.

 Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, the Principal, Headmaster Mr. Sajid Shamim and Section Coordinator Ms. Jaseena Abdulla joined the celebration.

The Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, gave a speech on what role the environment plays and why it is important for people to take initiatives to save the environment. The events of the day came to an end with a skit presented by students of class 3 and 4. It highlight the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable living.
