The students of Grades 1 to 4 participated in a unique and enriching series of
activities as part of the “No Bag Day” initiative, celebrated in collaboration with
several other themed events: the Plantation Drive, Flowers Day, and Qatar
Heritage Day. These integrated activities aimed to foster creativity,
environmental consciousness, and cultural pride among young learners in an
engaging and educational way.
As part of the Plantation Drive, students participated in planting saplings on the
school premises. This activity inspired students to contribute positively to their
surroundings and emphasized the need to nurture. The headmaster, Mr. Sajid
Shamim; the section coordinator, Ms. Jeseena Abdulla; teachers; and around
200 students from grades 1-4 planted the saplings and watered the plants. The
headmaster, Mr. Sajid Shamim, advised the students to maintain the plants to
preserve our environment. The primary objective of the planting of saplings was
to increase awareness among the students about the importance of planting
trees in combating climate change and promoting environmental awareness
and sustainable practices. The students and teachers pledged to be responsible
for the environment.
