IIS Holds Fire and Safety Awareness Programme : Ideal Indian School organized a “Fire and Safety Awareness Programme” in collaboration with the Qatar Civil Defense Department on Monday, 13th October 2025. The informative session was led by Captain Ayoub Salah Alshtaf, accompanied by his team members Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim and Mr. Rharib Amalallah.
The program was attended by Class XI students, teachers, administrative staff, and school dignitaries. The event commenced with a prayer led by Master Raaed of Class XI, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Miss Hishana Manoj, also of Class XI. The session concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Master Yousef Abbas of Class XI. The program was compered by Ms. Rehana Begum, Teacher, Boys’ Section.
During the session, Captain Ayoub Salah Alshtaf delivered an informative presentation on fire safety awareness, emphasizing the importance of fire prevention techniques during emergencies. He explained the different types of fire extinguishers and their specific uses, noting that dry powder extinguishers are among the most versatile and effective for various types of fires.
Following the presentation, the Civil Defense team conducted a live demonstration on the school premises, illustrating the correct handling of fire extinguishers and demonstrating essential safety procedures to follow during a fire outbreak. The participants gained practical insights into fire prevention methods, emergency response actions, and home safety measures to protect children and families.
The Principal, Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, along with the Heads of Sections, expressed sincere appreciation to the Qatar Civil Defense Department for conducting this educational and engaging session. The programme successfully enhanced the awareness of fire safety and emergency preparedness among students and staff, reinforcing the importance of vigilance and prompt action in safeguarding lives.
