Ideal Indian School recently held Merit Day 2025 to honour the students for their exceptional achievements in the CBSE examinations. Students of Grades 10 and 12 from the 2024–2025 batches were honoured during the ceremony, where gold and silver medals were awarded to school rank holders and individual subject toppers. School staff who completed 15, 20, 30 and 35 years of dedicated service were felicitated with Long Service Certificates for their meritorious service to the institution. Additionally, teachers were awarded Excellence Certificates for their dedicated work and remarkable contributions to the school.
School President, Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P., graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Manikantan A. P., President of the Indian Cultural Centre and Ms. Nandini Abbagouni, Head of Cultural Activities at the Indian Cultural Centre were the Guests of Honour. Mr. Ali Khalid Al Kubaisi, the School Sponsor, Members of the Managing Committee, Heads of Sections, Heads of Departments and parents attended the function.
In his keynote address, School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the parents for entrusting their children to the school. He acknowledged their consistent support, noting that it plays a vital role in the school’s growth and in the success of all its endeavours. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manikantan A.P. praised Ideal Indian School for offering students the valuable opportunity to pursue their education at the institution. He also lauded the school’s dedication to delivering high-quality education, which has greatly benefited the students of the Indian community. Principal Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb presented the Annual Report emphasizing the school’s commitment to achieving excellence in academics, sports and cultural events.
The day featured a spectacular cultural extravaganza in which students from Morning and Evening Sessions mesmerised the audience with their enthralling stage show. Saja Amina, Asst. Head Girl welcomed the gathering and Leonel Mathew, Asst. Headboy proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Masrath Jahan compered the formal function and Youseuf Abbas and Zainab Amir Bhat anchored the cultural show. Dr. Nazima Bi Sheikh, Vice Principal, Girls’ Section coordinated the programme.
