CONNECTING SCHOOL WITH COMMUNITY THE E-MAGAZINE FOR IDEAL INDIAN SCHOOL

Peace Day[Jr Sec]

On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, our school observed Peace Day on
the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi on 2nd October with great respect and
enthusiasm. The day was dedicated to remembering the Father of our
Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and spreading his message of peace, truth,
and non-violence. The event was held to spread awareness among
students about the values of peace, non-violence, and harmony in
society.
A special assembly was conducted for class 4 students. Naika Sajeesh
of 4 J delivered a speech on Peace Day where she emphasized the need
for peace in our daily lives and how small acts of kindness can
contribute to a more peaceful world. Students of grade 3 carried placards
highlighting the values of peace and Gandhi Jayanti, spreading the
message of truth, non-violence, and universal brotherhood. The placards
and speech together emphasized that peace begins with individual efforts
and extends to communities and the world.
Different classroom activities were conducted. Class 4 students crafted
doves from paper plates as a symbol of peace. Class 3 students designed
‘Clouds of Peace’ with thoughtful words, showing peaceful messages
flowing from the clouds. Class 2 students made finger-dove crafts as a
fun and meaningful expression of harmony. Class 1 students participated
in colouring activities, filling their sheets with symbols of peace and joy.
These activities enabled the children to understand Gandhiji’s values in
a simple yet impactful way.
The day concluded with a strong message that peace is not merely the
absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, equality, and love. It
inspired the young learners to become ambassadors of peace in their
homes, schools, and communities.
