The Evening Session of Ideal Indian School observed Earth Day 2025 with a vibrant lineup of activities centered around this year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet.” The theme emphasises the importance of collective responsibility and the use of renewable energy in addressing climate change and safeguarding the planet for the generations to come.
Students from the Junior, Girls’, and Boys’ sections enthusiastically took part in various programs organised to raise awareness about the need to conserve fossil fuels and shift toward sustainable alternatives resources. These initiatives encouraged young minds to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute to a greener tomorrow. To mark the occasion, each section of the school hosted a variety of engaging events that highlighted environmental consciousness.
The day featured several eco-initiatives, including a campus-wide tree-planting drive aimed at enhancing greenery. An inter-house postermaking competition, exhibitions of eco-friendly models and speeches and Skit on environmental protection allowed students to creatively express their concerns and solutions for environmental challenges.
Younger students participated in nature-themed coloring activities, while others crafted Earth Day badges and crowns adorned with impactful slogans—each reflecting a personal pledge to care for the planet. In his keynote address, Principal Mr. Sheikh Shamim Saheb highlighted the urgent need to conserve water and electricity and reduce plastic use, urging students to be responsible stewards of the environment.
