




IIS HOLDS CBSE- CPD UNDER THE THEME “KNOWLEDGE & PRACTICE : Ideal Indian School recently organised a CBSE-mandated Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Programme for its teaching faculty, in alignment with the latest educational reforms and pedagogical practices prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The programme was held under the enriching and thought-provoking theme “Knowledge & Practice.” The primary aim of this professional development session was to enhance the competencies of educators in implementing the Curriculum Framework effectively and to foster school-wide best practices that align with contemporary teaching methodologies. It served as a platform for teachers to revisit core principles of pedagogy, curriculum implementation, and reflective teaching.
The session commenced with a warm welcome extended by Mr. Sajid Shamim, Headmaster of the Junior Section, to the esteemed dignitaries, faculty members, and participants.
The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker for the event was Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P., President of Ideal Indian School. In his keynote address, he emphasised the crucial role of ongoing teacher development in shaping the future of students. He lauded the efforts of the school in creating a culture of lifelong learning among its educators and highlighted the necessity for teachers to remain adaptive, research-oriented and reflective in their practices. The core academic session was conducted by Mr. Shaik Shamim Saheb, Principal of Ideal Indian School, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on the topic: “Curriculum Framework & Implementation – School-wide Practices.” He highlighted key aspects such as the foundational principles of the CBSE Curriculum Framework, aligning teaching methods with learning outcomes, integrating experiential and competency-based learning, encouraging inclusive and interdisciplinary teaching and maintaining consistency in curriculum planning and assessment throughout the school.
